ER24 paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision on the N2, West of Knysna, by the Salt River turn-off.
When they arrived on scene they found that a bakkie and two cars had been involved in the crash. They noticed that a bakkie had been torn into two parts as a result of the collision. The driver of the bakkie was transported by Metro EMS to Knysna Provincial Hospital in a serious condition.
An occupant of one of the cars involved sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ER24 to Knysna Private Hospital. Two occupants of the second car reported no injuries on the scene.
The cause of the collision is unknown at this stage.

Looking at the damaged vehicles it would be safe to say that SPEED was a factor. It is a 60km/hr zone. There will be many more accidents on this lovely new road. Please can we have permanent cameras there like in Plett.
